Christmas Get-Together With Family

I was right. Each one of us in our own way slowly emerged from the blan­ket of snow and returned to our jobs this morn­ing. Tem­per­a­tures were in sin­gle dig­its but the sun shown much of the day.

I left work at 4:30 p.m. to help Becky with the fin­ish­ing touches for a Christ­mas din­ner we were host­ing for some of my re-discovered fam­ily. Becky made ham and the whole house smelled as good as the ham tasted that evening. My brother, Scott, and his girl-friend and my sis­ter, Vicki, and her hus­band joined us and we had a really good time talk­ing and exchang­ing gifts.

As usual, Bella enjoyed the added atten­tion as well.
