Introducing Anastasia

Anastasia
Thursday our daughter brought over a puppy for us to see. Her neighbor had a litter of pups and this one was the last and needed to go. I was happy with only having Bella but when my wife called me at my office and told me the puppy had come to visit, well, I could tell she had already fallen.
Anastasia is an eight-week old German Shepherd — Husky mix and 100% adorable. Two nights of having her and she is already sleeping through the night! However, I get the feeling that potty training is going to be a challenge. Anastasia’s dad weighs in at around 130 pounds with the mom being more petite. From the size of her paws, legs and appetite I am not so sure she will follow in her mother’s size.
I cannot help but think back to the first day we got Bella. My wife, as you have read from here before, did not share my excitement of having a puppy in the house and she did not hide her feelings. The first night, Bella jumped in our bed, instantly creating an argument; but when Bella started licking the sheets, that was the final straw. My wife informed me that there was no way she was sleeping in a bed with a dog, especially one that licks the sheets. That is just gross. Oh, indeed it was a rocky several months, but I am glad that Bella and Becky are very close now.
Move ahead to night one with Anastasia. My wife puts the puppy on the bed to sleep with her. At 4:00 a.m. the puppy walks over to where I am sleeping and pees on me and the bed. My wife’s response? Just get a towel and put over it. Uhm, who is this woman and what has she done with my wife? Needless to say at four in the morning we were changing all of our sheets.
Overall though, she has been a fantastic puppy. She is already sleeping through the night and loves to cuddle and snuggle. No wonder she has won over my wife! Anastasia has already been to the park, taken several car rides and experienced ice-cream. A friend of mine at work said that if she believed in reincarnation, she would hope she came back as one of mine and my wife’s dogs. Hmmm, just don’t pee on me.

Becky brought the dog over for a visit. It is adorable.
In actuallity, I brought the puppy to you guys thinking that mom would not let you keep it and then I would get it back. Because my hubby told me, “No puppy til we move!” Well, mother did not live up to her reputation and now I have a sister!!!
Love your story Lee and she is precious! Glad I got to meet her today:)
